Meet Megan
Hi! I'm Megan, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with a passion for guiding individuals toward emotional healing and personal growth. I utilize a trauma-informed lens to create a safe and supportive space for you to explore and overcome life’s challenges. My approach integrates various therapeutic interventions such as dialectal behavioral therapy (DBT), humanistic therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) tailored to your unique needs, ensuring that each session is personalized for your journey. I welcome clients to use different types of self expression like art, writing, crafting, and music in sessions.
I am committed to providing LGBTQ+ affirming and BIPOC-inclusive therapy. I believe healing happens best in spaces where all parts of you are welcomed, including your identity and lived experience. I strive to offer a grounded, compassionate therapeutic relationship where you feel seen, respected, and supported.
I received my Bachelors degree in Psychology from University of Illinois at Springfield and received my Masters in Counseling Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I have extensive experience working in crisis settings and providing crisis counseling and individual therapy to youth, teens, young adults and adults. I have worked in outpatient, residential, and community mental health settings.

Consultation
Starting therapy is a big step and finding the right therapist matters. This 15 minute consultation is a chance for us to connect, discuss what your looking for and to answer any questions you may have. This is a chance to see if we would be a good fit!
Initial Evaluation
The initial evaluation is a 60-minute session where we will get to know you, your history, what's bringing you to therapy, and creating treatment goals. We will talk about your current concerns, goals, and any past experiences that may be helpful to learn about. We will create a treatment plan tailored to your needs and give you a sense of what working together will look like.
Individual Therapy
Individual therapy offers a safe and supportive space to work through your life's stressors. We will help you to explore what you have been through, how it is affecting you and create treatment goals that will foster your healing. You are not alone
